To avoid an unintentional release of the side airbag during installation and removal work on the driver's and front passenger's seat, the ignition lead of the side airbag module in question must be short circuited to the housing for reasons of safety.
Application: Audi A4 successor (B6). Further airbag adapters are: VAS 5094 (Volkswagen and Audi vehicles), VAS 5068 (Audi A8), VAS 5232 (Sharan '99).
Warning: One adapter is required for each side airbag! The application is described in the relevant Workshop Manual.
