The battery starter provides assistance in starting, independent from a mains power supply, for vehicles with flat or weak batteries. Depending on the outside temperature and battery charge, approx. 15-30 starts can be carried out. The unit is protected against deep discharge and works without voltage peaks. Once the starting process is complete, the clamps can be removed from the vehicle battery without the risk of shock. Once the start cables have been connected, the electronic safety device checks the vehicle automatically for short circuit. The starting aid is blocked during this period. In addition, the electronics detect whether the start cables have been fitted to the correct terminals. In the case of incorrect connection, the equipment switches to fault, preventing any damage being caused as a result. The charge state of the battery starter can be determined by a test. When replacing the battery the equipment stores the vehicle voltage i.e. the vehicle data is saved.
